Welcome to Fast Rides (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our rideshare and related services (the “Services”), including our website, mobile applications, and any ride, trip, or delivery arranged through us.
By creating an account, booking a ride, or using our Services in any way, you (“Rider”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our Services.
1.1 Platform Only
Fast Rides provides a platform that connects riders with independent drivers who provide transportation and/or delivery services. We do not generally own, operate, or control the vehicles used by drivers.
1.2 Independent Contractors
Drivers are typically independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Fast Rides. We do not control their day-to-day driving decisions, routes, or personal conduct. However, we may set minimum standards for safety, vehicle condition, and service quality.
1.3 No Guarantee of Availability
We make no guarantee that a driver will be available for any requested time, date, or location. Service availability varies based on demand, driver supply, weather, traffic, and other factors.
2.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract.
2.2 Account Creation
To use certain features, you may be required to create an account by providing accurate and complete information (such as name, phone number, email, and payment details). You agree to keep this information accurate and up to date.
2.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
2.4 Suspension, Restriction, and Termination of Account
We may, at our sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your access to the Services and/or delete or deactivate your account, with or without notice, if we believe that:
You have violated these Terms or any other policy or rule we issue
You have engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
You have posed a safety risk or nuisance to drivers, other riders, or third parties
You have caused repeated or serious property damage or incurred multiple cleaning/damage incidents
You have misused promotions, referral programs, chargebacks, or payment methods
It is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Fast Rides, drivers, riders, or the public
We may also limit certain features (such as promotional offers, shared rides, or late-night trips) or require additional verification before allowing continued use of the Services.
If your account is terminated or restricted, you remain responsible for all outstanding charges and fees incurred prior to termination. We have no obligation to retain or provide access to your account information after termination, except as required by law.
3.1 Requesting a Ride
When you request a ride, our system attempts to match you with a nearby driver. Acceptance of your ride request is at the discretion of the driver and/or the Company.
3.2 Pickup and Drop-Off
You agree to be present and ready at the designated pickup location at the scheduled time. Failure to appear at the scheduled time may result in cancellation fees, waiting fees, or full fare being charged.
3.3 Shared or Group Rides
We reserve the right to offer shared rides. You agree to ride with other passengers and understand that pickup and drop-off routes may be adjusted to accommodate multiple riders.
3.4 Changes and Cancellations
You may cancel a ride request within a short grace period after a driver accepts (within 2–5 minutes of acceptance) without being charged a cancellation fee, provided the driver has not yet arrived or traveled a significant distance toward your pickup location.
If you cancel after the grace period, or if you are not present at the pickup location within a reasonable time after the driver’s arrival, we may treat the ride as a “no-show” and charge a cancellation or no-show fee up to the estimated fare amount.
Drivers or Fast Rides may cancel a ride at any time, including after acceptance, for reasons such as:
Safety concerns
Rider behavior or violation of these Terms
Vehicle issues, traffic, or severe weather
Inaccurate or unsafe pickup/drop-off locations
We reserve the right to adjust our cancellation windows and fees at any time.
4.1 Fare Calculation
Fares may be calculated based on factors such as distance, time, demand (surge or peak pricing), tolls, and applicable fees. The estimated fare may change due to route changes, traffic conditions, or additional stops.
4.2 Additional Charges
You may be charged additional amounts for:
Tolls and parking fees
Cleaning fees (e.g., spills, bodily fluids, or damage caused by you or your party)
Cancellation or “no-show” fees
Prolong waiting at pickup location
Extra stops or destination changes
4.3 Payment Processing
All payments are typically processed electronically through approved payment methods. By using the Services, you authorize Fast Rides or its payment processors to charge your selected payment method for all amounts owed.
4.4 Tips
Tips to drivers are voluntary unless otherwise stated. Any tip you choose to provide is additional to the fare and is generally passed to the driver.
4.5 No Refund Guarantee
Completed rides are generally non-refundable. However, if you believe a fare was charged in error, you may contact us, and we will review the matter at our discretion.
4.6 Cleaning, Damage, and Special Fees
You agree that you are responsible for any excessive mess, spills, stains, bodily fluids, or damage you or your guests cause to a driver’s vehicle or property.
Depending on the severity, we may charge:
Standard Cleaning Fee – for minor but noticeable messes requiring extra cleaning (e.g., food crumbs, drink spills, mud, trash left behind).
Deep Cleaning / Biohazard Fee – for more serious incidents (e.g., vomit, blood, bodily fluids, strong odors, or significant staining) that require professional cleaning or removal of the vehicle from service for a period of time.
Damage Fee – for physical damage to the vehicle or driver’s property (e.g., broken components, torn upholstery, damaged doors, windows, panels, or devices).
The amount of these fees may be based on:
Photographic or video evidence submitted by the driver
Service invoices or reasonable estimates for cleaning or repairs
Lost time or income due to the vehicle being temporarily taken out of service
By using the Services, you authorize Fast Rides to charge your payment method on file for such fees when reasonably documented. If you dispute a fee, you may contact us, and we will review the matter at our discretion.
By using our Services, you agree to:
5.1 Respectful Conduct
Treat drivers, other riders, and staff with respect and courtesy.
Not harass, threaten, or verbally or physically abuse anyone.
Not engage in any illegal, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior.
5.2 Safety and Compliance
Wear a seatbelt at all times where required by law.
Follow any reasonable instructions given by the driver for safety.
Not smoke, vape, consume alcohol, or use illegal substances in the vehicle unless expressly permitted by the driver and local law.
5.3 Property and Cleanliness
Take your belongings when you exit the vehicle.
Avoid causing damage or leaving excessive mess.
You may be charged cleaning or damage fees for any harm or mess caused by you or your party.
5.4 Prohibited Items
You agree not to bring into the vehicle any weapons, hazardous materials, illegal substances, or items that may pose a risk to safety or legality, unless expressly permitted by law and by the Company.
5.5 Children and Minors
If you are booking a ride for a minor or traveling with children:
You are responsible for providing any required child seats or restraints in accordance with local laws.
Minors should not use the service alone unless permitted and properly supervised according to our policies and local law.
5.6 Audio and Video Recording for Safety Purposes
For safety, security, and service quality purposes, some drivers and/or Fast Rides may use audio and/or video recording devices (such as dashcams or interior cameras) in and around vehicles while providing rides.
Recordings may capture images and audio of you and your passengers, as well as events occurring inside and immediately outside the vehicle.
Recordings may be used to:
Investigate safety incidents, accidents, complaints, or disputes
Support law enforcement or legal proceedings, where appropriate
Monitor compliance with these Terms and our policies
Improve safety and service quality
Where required by law, drivers and/or Fast Rides will take steps to notify you of audio and/or video recording (e.g., via posted signs in the vehicle or disclosures in the app/website).
Recordings may be retained for a limited period and then deleted, unless needed for an investigation, legal claim, or law enforcement request. By using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to such recording to the extent permitted by applicable law.
5.7 Right to Refuse Service and Terminate Rides
To the extent permitted by law, Fast Rides and its drivers reserve the right to refuse service or to end a ride at any time if, in their reasonable judgment:
You or your guests are behaving in a threatening, abusive, or harassing manner
You appear to be extremely intoxicated or under the influence in a way that poses safety concerns
You are engaging in illegal activity or possess illegal substances or prohibited items
You refuse to wear a seatbelt or otherwise ignore safety instructions
You attempt to exceed the legal or stated occupancy of the vehicle
You attempt to bring unsafe, oversized, or hazardous items into the vehicle
The pickup or drop-off location is or becomes unsafe or illegal to access
If a ride is ended early or refused for such reasons, you may still be charged all or part of the fare, including any applicable fees, as if the ride had been completed, in addition to any cleaning or damage fees if applicable.
We will not refuse service or terminate rides on the basis of any protected characteristic (such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, or other categories protected under applicable law).
6.1 Rating System
We may provide a rating system where riders and drivers can rate each other and leave feedback. These ratings help maintain safety and quality standards.
6.2 Use of Feedback
We may use ratings, comments, and feedback to:
Monitor service quality
Take appropriate action, including warnings, training, suspension, or termination
You agree that your feedback may be visible in an anonymized or summarized form to other users or drivers.
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
8.1 No Warranty
Our Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee:
That a ride will always be available
That a driver will accept your ride request
Any specific arrival or travel times
That the service will be free of errors, interruptions, or security issues
8.2 Third-Party Services
We are not responsible for:
The actions or omissions of drivers or other riders
Third-party websites, apps, or services linked or integrated with our platform
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Fast Ride is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or property damage, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the ride giving rise to the claim, or a reasonable maximum amount specified by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fast Rides, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
Your use of the Services
Your breach of these Terms
Your violation of any law or third-party rights
Any damage or harm caused by you to drivers, vehicles, or third parties
All content and materials related to the Services, including logos, trademarks, text, graphics, software, and designs, are the property of Fast Rides or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not use, copy, modify, or distribute any content from our Services without our express written consent.
12.1 Service Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice.
12.2 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
13.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will be handled in accordance with our dispute resolution policy, which may include informal negotiation, mediation, or binding arbitration, as allowed by applicable law.
You agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve any dispute informally before pursuing formal legal action.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent possible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
